Adult Education Center, serving Butler County, Missouri and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to build a community where people are empowered to improve their life and family through the achievement of academic and career goals. Adults who seek to further their education will be evaluated to determine their academic level. They will then be filled into one of four academic tracks:
1) Basic math and language skills to attain an 8th grade education level. 2) Either prepare to take the high school equivalency test or complete the necessary course work to receive their high school diploma which will be conferred by Westwood Baptist Academy. 3) Seek Post-secondary education to improve job skills and/or certifications that will make them more employable. 4) Enrollment in workshops to improve the life skills necessary for everyday living such as personal finance basics, family relationships & parenting, basic health & hygiene, and household management. The Adult Education Center will help facilitate the educational process from initial evaluation through completion of educational goals by tutoring, resource access, and coordination of services. |
