The Timothy Foundation, a faith-based 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 2021 after more than ten years of working with the addicted through the RU Recovery Program of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
During that time, many RU students had basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter that needed to be met before they could focus on overcoming their addiction. Once those needs were met, the students were better able to receive the Truth that could set them free.
Over 82% of the RU graduates found freedom from the strongholds that once consumed them, but many lacked basic training in life skills. Many of them had never completed high school, and some desired to further their education.
The Timothy Foundation was established to help meet those needs through four programs: SEMO Bible Institute, the Adult Education Program, the Addiction Recovery Program, and the Helping Hands Program. Our mission is to develop, maintain, and improve lifelong learning for individuals and families, providing hope and encouragement, while helping to meet their basic needs.
We serve Butler County, Missouri and the surrounding areas, specifically targeting individuals and families who are facing mental and/or substance abuse issues.
In the near future we plan to start 6-month intensive residential recovery homes that will help transition participants through the process of furthering their education, improving their job skills, and seeking gainful employment. These homes will be funded by our Retail Donation Center (Revive Resale) located at 512 E. Pine Street in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
