"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15
The primary mission of the SEMO Bible Institute is training lay leaders for ministry in the local church. These lay leaders will then be better prepared to coach, mentor, and disciple others. Classes with the SEMO Bible Institute are taught in partnership with Faith Bible Institute. Faith Bible Institute is a life-changing journey through the Bible for everyone. As a satellite school, students may participate in our group or online classes. These classes, taught by Dr. John Yates, are filled with amazing visuals, archaeological artifacts, fill-in-the-blank notebooks, a chronological journey through every book, and a systematic study of every major doctrine to provide a revolutionary learning experience.  Courses include 17–18-week semesters plus optional electives. More than 75,000 students have participated in these affordable classes each year throughout the United States and on 7 different continents.

Thank You

We would like to thank you for taking the time to explore the SEMO Bible Institute’s page. Whether you are a curious guest or a prospective student, we sincerely appreciate your interest in our ministry training program. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with what we are all about and ask yourself if a theologically sound, biblically based entry-level ministry training program is something the Lord may be leading you to pursue.

Here at SEMO Bible Institute each and every one of our faculty members has a passion to commit to faithful men and women of God the things which we have learned from God’s Word so that they in turn may be “able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Our purpose is to provide our students with the biblical tools, knowledge, and desire necessary to “study to show (themselves) approved unto God” while developing the ability to “rightly divide the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Our prayer is that our students successfully complete the Bible institute course of study and be better equipped “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).
SEMO Bible Institute – Training Lay Leaders for Ministry. Are you ready to answer the call to lay leadership within the local church? Contact our office today for more information on how you may become a student.
